Tree detection for municipality of Leudal
The Dutch municipality of Leudal has a large, beautiful rural area. The information in the tree management system is no longer up-to-date and the tree positioning was also not done accurately. Not a great starting point for a tree management plan! Consultancy company Bomenwacht Nederland was commissioned to re-inventory the trees in the rural area. To get the job done quickly and safely, Treetracker joined the project to automatically detect the main roads. Quickly, because in one day's drive we were able to analyse 4,000 trees along 60 km of main road. And safe because the tree inspectors didn’t have to work alongside the busy roads. The...

Off the beaten track
“Go for a walk once in a while” they told us, now we are working more from home. So that’s exactly what we are doing this month! We’re bringing along a couple of different portable mobile mapping systems on our walks. Our friends from Geometius tag along for the trip and together we’re exploring the best way to scan trees ‘off the beaten track’. It’s healthy, it’s innovative, it’s fun; exactly how we like it at Treetracker!

Almere: a feel good movie
The city of Almere is always looking for the next step in tree management for its fast growing and tree-packed city. That’s why they were eager to start a pilot with Treetracker. The results were presented today to the project team. Almere selected the neighbourhood of Filmwijk as the pilot area. So of course we had to make a movie of the results. No cliff hangers here: we were able to detect and separate every tree and take accurate measurements. We used these measurements for the Eco Impact Report and found out that the trees in Hollywoodlaan alone, are able to capture almost 2.000 kg of carbon...

Eco Impact Report a big success
As a part of the green revolution, we want to show how important trees actually are for their surrounding. That’s why we developed the Eco Impact Report: Combining accurate measurements with the latest insights in tree benefits, Treetracker provides a detailed understanding of the trees actual ecological impact. Because not everybody is a green tech expert yet, we developed the report to be insightful for everyone who’s interested in trees, expert or novice. With these tools we give a different perspective on trees. Not as just another object to maintain, but as a part of the solution in the challenges...

City of Rotterdam pilot delivered
The city of Rotterdam has faith in our green revolution. And it sees Treetracker as part of a solution for its own challenges. Together we started a pilot in the neighbourhood of Kralingen. Today, we delivered the first results! We are proud to say that expectations were exceeded: we were able to fully automatically detect the different trees and measure their individual height, trunk diameter, crown diameter, crown base and even an accurate crown volume. These measurements are essential to determine the ecological impact every tree has to it’s surrounding. We are happy to announce this pilot will have...

First steps taken
Every revolution starts with one step into a new direction. This is our first step: a digital twin of one tree, automatically detected from a pointcloud. This first tree is the start of something completely new, a different take on tree management. Combining Artificial Intelligence with tree knowledge, we set out to automate the process of tree inspections. Providing accurate tree data, we help you to get more insights into the tree’s health and the impact it makes to it’s surrounding. Stay tuned for more!
